Hwy. 60 fatal

A Kenyon man was killed Tuesday morning in a crash on Hwy. 60 east of Faribault.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, 61-year-old William Matthew Blose was driving a Ford Five Hundred headed west and crossed into eastbound traffic "for an unknown reason" near Jenkins Road about 10:15 a.m. The car collided with a tractor trailer.

The State Patrol reported that Blose was killed and that the driver of the semi, Allen Robert Patrin, of Zumbrota, was uninjured. Both men were reportedly wearing seat belts.

The Rice County Sheriff's Office, Kenyon Fire Department, State Patrol and an North Memorial ambulance and medical helicopter responded to the scene.

The road was closed and emergency personnel were still on scene into Tuesday evening.
